Lex de Kok specializes in both public and private law.
He started practising law in 1992 in the project development and construction law practice and gradually expanded his activities to include administrative law and environmental law. An important part of his practice consists of advising companies and local authorities in these practise areas and the relationship between them. Within these areas he also focuses on matters relating to expropriation and procurement. He keeps track of new developments in his fields of expertise such as the implementation of sustainability, circular buildings in the tendering and contracts phases and smart buildings.

He has a strong client focus and assists clients in often complex transactions and processes. His expertise also includes litigation in these areas of law.

Prior to joining Bavelaar & Bavelaar Advocaten Rechtsanwälte, Lex was a shareholder with Greenberg Traurig LLP and subsequently with Rechtstaete, vastgoedadvocaten & belastingadviseurs.

Lex has degrees in Dutch law and notarial law from the University of Amsterdam. He is a member of the Construction Law Association and the Environment Law Association.
